Taiwan VPS Comparison: IP Types, Pricing and Buyer Checklist

  • 26

Quick answer: Choose a Taiwan VPS by the network and address type your application needs. HiNet PPPoE provides a residential broadband connection with dynamic or fixed IP options; Taipei BGP is a separate datacenter network option; IPv6-only requires IPv6 connectivity and does not include IPv4. Compare current specifications, billing terms and measured routes before choosing a provider.

Updated 2026-09-10 · Joyso engineering team. Joyso is a hosting provider and the publisher of this guide. This revision replaces the earlier eight-provider ranking with a purchasing framework. Competitor prices, support policies and benchmark results were not retested for this update.

Match the network to the job

  • HiNet dynamic PPPoE: appropriate when you need a Taiwan broadband connection and can accommodate address changes. Joyso lists options in New Taipei and Taipei Daan, including plans with a change-IP function.
  • Fixed IP: consider this for an application that needs a stable connection address or an IP allowlist. Joyso lists HiNet fixed PPPoE and TFN Kbro fixed-IP plans.
  • Taipei BGP: compare this separately for website hosting, application servers or streaming transport. A datacenter route and a residential broadband route serve different requirements; neither guarantees third-party account approval.
  • IPv6-only: suitable only after checking your management connection and application dependencies. The HiNet IPv6 fixed-IP product explicitly has no IPv4.

Compare the full specification

Use the Taiwan VPS catalogue to compare CPU, RAM, storage, IP type, location, bandwidth and monthly transfer. These fields vary by product. Shared bandwidth is not a promise of sustained throughput, and residential plans do not guarantee connection quality toward mainland China.

Check the selected billing currency, recurring amount, setup fee and billing period at checkout. A low entry price for IPv6-only should not be treated as the price of an IPv4 residential plan. Availability also changes, so confirm that the exact configuration is orderable.

Evaluate any provider with the same questions

Ask where the server and network exit are located, whether an address is fixed or dynamic, what traffic limits apply, and how support is reached. Record the date and source of each answer. If your organization needs a contractual SLA, managed administration or a data-processing agreement, obtain the actual applicable document before relying on it.

Test routes from the networks that will use your application, at representative times. Compare packet loss, latency and application response time together. No city-level latency number proves performance for every carrier or destination. For IP checks, IPinfo documents ASN, geolocation and hosting flags as separate fields; an ISP ASN alone does not settle every platform's classification.

Frequently asked questions

Can an international customer complete verification?

Joyso uses Didit identity verification and OTP requirements. Accepted documents and the verification result are determined by the verification flow. Resolve any document or payment questions with Telegram support @hinet before ordering; this guide does not promise approval or a completion time.

Does a Taiwan residential IP guarantee platform access?

No. Network location does not replace account eligibility, identity checks or a platform's own rules. Evaluate the service for an authorized use case, and read the current usage restrictions before purchase.
